Health Care Systems – You need to Listen

Listen.

I do not think it is right for babies to die in hospitals.  I do not think it is right for parent’s concerns to be dismissed by the health care system.  I am fortunate to live in a country with a health care system paid for by tax payers.  But it needs some work.

I want the people in the health care system to listen to the people who use the system.  We are not just patients.  We are people.  We are mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, and grandparents.  We are friends and family.  We are partners, husbands, and wives.  We are people.  So treat us like people.

Listen.

Listen to us.

We need to tell you…

This link is a copy of a letter I wrote to my MP and MPP.  I do not think healtcare and patient advocay are just issues in my city in Ontario.  We need to speak up so the people in charge of these systems, politicans, can hear us.  We need to start talking.  Now.
